Internship: Summer 2025

Program Introduction
The MathGPT Innovators 2.0 Internship represents Phase 2 of the MathGPT initiative, led by Dr. Kevin Lan. This phase focuses on developing advanced, AI-driven educational software to support students in self-directed learning, self-assessments, and exam preparations. Additionally, the platform will assist educators in lesson planning, grading, and tracking student growth.
Participants from various areas of expertise are encouraged to join this unique opportunity. You will choose a role to play in one of the many aspects of production including software development, marketing, target user research, business strategies, and more. They will also acquire valuable practical experience by contributing to the launch of a transformative project with the potential to significantly impact the educational landscape.

The team will collaborate across all four project teams to ensure accountability and develop an efficient, user-friendly program interface.

This team is responsible for ensuring the seamless functionality of MathGPT, optimizing API performance, and efficiently managing data storage, processing, and security to enhance system reliability and user experience.

Program Admissions
Program Schedule
This internship program provides a 4-to-8-week immersive experience, starting on Monday, June 16, 2025, and ending on Friday, August 8, 2025. However, interns who are assigned to the Frontend Team and Backend Team must stay for the entire duration of the internship, as the project heavily depends on their efforts. Custom schedules will be granted upon request.
During week 8 of the internship (Starting August 4, 2025), all in-person interns are invited to a trip to the University of California, Davis in Sacramento for exclusive career building activities, including resume workshops, mock interviews, networking with government and industrial leaders, and research paper publications.
Who should apply?
Currently enrolled high school and college students who are interested in one or many areas of focus, such as computer science, graphic design, business, literature, or entrepreneurship.

Access Fee and Scholarships
High School Student Access for 4 Weeks: $1,900*
High School Student Access for 8 Weeks: $3,000*
College Student Access for 4 Weeks: $650*
College Intern Access for 8 Weeks: $1,000*
*A 5% Early Bird discount is available if your payment is processed before April 30, 2025.
Merit-based and need-based scholarships will be offered contingent upon the success of our fundraising efforts.
Scholarships to be announced on April 1, May 1,
and June 1, 2025.

Please Note
Meals, transportation (both coming and leaving), dorm rooms, and on-campus residential needs are not included in the access fee payment.
The cost of travel to Sacramento, CA is also not included.
